InfuriPaint
A versatile, dual-purpose thickness gauge delivering precise, metrology-grade measurements for both automotive paint correction and light industrial metalwork.
One Gauge, Two Disciplines
The InfuriPaint Pro-T1 is engineered to eliminate the need for separate detailing and industrial inspection kits. Featuring advanced dual-sensor technology, it effortlessly auto-detects ferrous and non-ferrous substrates to measure paint coating depth (in microns), whilst also offering an ultrasonic mode for testing the structural thickness of raw metal, glass, and plastics.
Built for the British Workshop
We know workshop environments are demanding. That's why the Pro-T1 features a ruggedised, high-impact ABS housing with a rubberised grip to survive accidental drops. The high-contrast, backlit display ensures readings are crystal clear, whether you're under bright detailing inspection lights or in a shadowy fabrication bay. Furthermore, the integrated USB-C rechargeable battery means you'll never be caught hunting for spare batteries mid-job.
Decision-Simplifying Accuracy
Take the guesswork out of your workflow. For detailers, knowing your exact clear coat depth prevents burn-through during heavy compounding. For fabricators, verifying metal stock thickness ensures structural integrity and welding safety. The Pro-T1 comes complete with a verification block and straightforward, plain-English calibration instructions, ensuring your readings are always spot on from day one.

How to Use
- For Paint/Coating Inspection: Ensure the car panel is clean and dry. Turn on the device and select 'Coating Mode'. Place the probe flat against the surface. The gauge will automatically detect the substrate (Fe/NFe) and display the paint thickness in microns.
- For Raw Material/Metal Inspection: Select 'Ultrasonic Mode'. Apply a small drop of the included couplant gel to the metal surface. Press the probe firmly against the gelled area to establish a sonic connection. The thickness will display in millimetres.
- Calibration Check: Before critical work, use the included zero-plates and calibration foils to verify accuracy. Adjust via the menu if necessary.
- Post-Use: Wipe the probe tip clean with a microfibre cloth and store the unit in its protective hard case.
Customer Reviews
Brilliant bit of kit. I run a small detailing setup and needed something reliable that didn't cost the earth. The fact it auto-detects steel vs aluminium panels instantly makes mapping out a car for machine polishing an absolute breeze.
Gareth Evans, Swansea
I use this mostly for checking steel box section thickness before welding. The ultrasonic mode is spot on. The USB-C charging is a godsend too鈥攏o more nicking AA batteries from the TV remote when I'm halfway through a job.
Mark Tomlinson, Birmingham
As an NDT inspector, I usually work with equipment ten times this price. While I wouldn't use it for aerospace certification, for automotive and light industrial QC, the repeatability and accuracy of the Pro-T1 are genuinely impressive.
Dr. Ian Fletcher, Cambridge
Really solid unit and the screen is super bright which helps in my dimly lit garage. Dropped one star because the included bottle of couplant gel is quite small, so you'll need to buy a larger bottle fairly quickly if you do a lot of metal testing.
Sophie Wright, Leeds
Upgraded to this from a cheap 拢20 gauge off Amazon. The difference is night and day. The readings are stable, it doesn't jump around, and the hard case it comes in feels very professional. Gives my customers a lot of confidence when I show them the paint depth before a correction.
Arjun Patel, Leicester
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Very accurate on car panels. My only minor gripe is the menu system takes a few minutes to get used to when switching between the paint mode and the metal thickness mode, but once you learn the buttons it's fine.
Craig MacDonald, Glasgow
Fantastic value for money. I use it for checking classic cars before buying to spot hidden rust repairs and filler. It's already saved me from buying a 'mint' MGB that was secretly half filler. Paid for itself on day one.
