Seamlessly switch between paint depth and raw metal thickness

A versatile, dual-purpose thickness gauge delivering precise, metrology-grade measurements for both automotive paint correction and light industrial metalwork.
Brilliant bit of kit. I run a small detailing setup and needed something reliable that didn't cost the earth. The fact it auto-detects steel vs aluminium panels instantly makes mapping out a car for machine polishing an absolute breeze.
I use this mostly for checking steel box section thickness before welding. The ultrasonic mode is spot on. The USB-C charging is a godsend too—no more nicking AA batteries from the TV remote when I'm halfway through a job.
As an NDT inspector, I usually work with equipment ten times this price. While I wouldn't use it for aerospace certification, for automotive and light industrial QC, the repeatability and accuracy of the Pro-T1 are genuinely impressive.
Really solid unit and the screen is super bright which helps in my dimly lit garage. Dropped one star because the included bottle of couplant gel is quite small, so you'll need to buy a larger bottle fairly quickly if you do a lot of metal testing.
Upgraded to this from a cheap £20 gauge off Amazon. The difference is night and day. The readings are stable, it doesn't jump around, and the hard case it comes in feels very professional. Gives my customers a lot of confidence when I show them the paint depth before a correction.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Very accurate on car panels. My only minor gripe is the menu system takes a few minutes to get used to when switching between the paint mode and the metal thickness mode, but once you learn the buttons it's fine.

Born in the heart of Britain's industrial and automotive hub, InfuriPaint was established to solve a persistent workshop frustration: the need for multiple, expensive tools just to check material thickness. Detailers were buying fragile paint depth gauges, while fabricators relied on clunky industrial ultrasonic testers. We knew there had to be a more efficient way.
We developed the InfuriPaint Pro series to serve both disciplines without compromise. By combining high-resolution coating thickness detection with deep-penetration ultrasonic metal testing, we've created a single, workshop-ready instrument. Whether you are chasing the perfect paint correction on a classic car or verifying the structural integrity of steel stock, our gauges deliver decision-simplifying accuracy instantly.
Beyond the hardware, we pride ourselves on straightforward, honest UK support. Every InfuriPaint device is dispatched from our UK warehouse, backed by a comprehensive 2-year warranty, and designed with real-world workshop routines in mind—from USB-C charging to rugged, drop-resistant housings. We don't just sell tools; we provide the confidence to do your best work.
